About Us
The Student Solidarity Network is a developing student organization dedicated to providing students community, support, and resources through a mutual aid framework.
Rather than traditional means of philanthropy, mutual aid provides an alternative to inequitable and failing systems, where the community members themselves voluntarily exchange resources and goods for their collective benefit.
Through hosting events such as community dinners, benefit concerts, clothing swaps, etc., we hope to create a wide reach aid network that promotes political literacy and fosters solidarity within the UT student community.
What differentiates us from other organizations is our vision for solidarity. We believe that by hosting events that appeal to the West Campus student community, we can form connections of solidarity that makes resistance appealing to students who may have not otherwise involved themselves in advocacy.
Pictured on our home page are some of our events we have held so far, where we have raised and redistributed resources through tabling, fundraising events, community dinners and biweekly food and clothes distributions at The Lodge.
